Welcome to Sufi Music Heritage Project.
Digital Learning Resources
Led by WomenZone, the Sufi Music Heritage Project aimed to deepen public understanding of Sufi heritage through meaningful community engagement. Central to this mission was education, which served as a vital tool for fostering awareness, dialogue, and connection across diverse audiences.
A series of tailored workshops was delivered across four schools, two youth clubs, and two community groups, each designed to meet the diverse needs of different age groups and learning styles.
To further enhance accessibility, especially for individuals with additional learning needs such as dyslexia and neurodivergence, we developed a suite of digital resources, including a short educational film and an accompanying learning guide. These resources provide an engaging introduction to Sufi music and its cultural context, making the subject accessible and relevant to new audiences.
The short film offers a dynamic approach to learning for those who benefit from visual and auditory content. Both the film and learning resource are freely available for use in educational institutions across the UK and internationally, supporting inclusive learning in classrooms around the world.
Directed by: Aamta-Tul Waheed and Mandeep Samra
